FAN CORNER n°2 : Dawn's lovely Irish accent and her crush on Steven

Ironically it was my husband who first introduced me to TVD he thought it was something I would Watch and enjoy which indeed I do but for very different reasons than he intended ! 

 

Jeremy was always my favourite character and I thought he was cute but when he kissed Vicky in season one he went from cute to hot and he seems to get hotter every season.

 

I first met Steven June past at a uk convention Insurgence 6. I had followed him on twitter and Instagram for a while and really liked the vibe he conveyed. I thought when I did finally meet him that there would be no way he'd be as handsome or cool in person as he appeared to be from what I'd seen on line. I was very pleasantly surprised however when he actually managed to exceed any hopes I had.

 

I had two meet and greets with him and saw both his stage talks, He was absolutely hilarious. very easy to talk to and very quick to answer our random questions with a witty response. He said he loved my accent and that I should just keep talking to him, so I did. I found him very charismatic and gorgeous not just good looking but genuinely beautiful like a work of art. After I got home from Insurgence 6 I decided I really needed to go to another TVD convention to see him again so i set about convincing my friend that we needed a holiday and when I saw he was coming to Vegas I thought that was the perfect place to go, 

 

On the Sunday morning of the TVD Vegas Convention I was really excited to see him, Much to the amusement of my friend as I don't really do the fan girl thing (expect for Steven of course). We had autographs first thing I brought my photo from Insurgence 6 along to get signed and he commented that we were so close in the photo why did we not just kiss! So I said I have photos this afternoon so we can do it then. When It came to photo time I asked him if he remembered saying that he'd kiss me and he did!

 

i decided to ask a question during his stage talk. I told him I'd came all the way from Ireland just to see him and he came over to me and hugged me and brought me onto the stage. I asked if he would come to a European or uk convention again next year. I think he said yes. He then said he would also come to Ireland if he'd somewhere to stay, He's always welcome at my house.

 

 He also had another fan on stage during his talk, he was charming funny and flirtatious with everyone during his panel and again told some very entertaining stories. I saw on the TVD Vegas facebook page they asked if anyone's favourites had changed after the convention and a lot of people said they had a new found love for Steven.

 

After meeting him a second time I like him even more now he seems like a genuinely nice fun guy who enjoys interacting with his fans .I really hope he does come back to the UK next year as I don't think a TVD convention would ever be the same without him.

COIN FAN n° 2 : L'accent irlandais de Dawn et son  béguin pour Steven

 

Ironiquement, ce fut mon mari qui m’initia à TVD, il pensait que ça me plairait ce qui fut le cas, mais pas pour les raison qu’il imaginait!

Jérémy a toujours été mon personnage préféré ; je le trouvais mignon mais quand arriva le moment où, dans la saison 1 de la série, il embrasse Vicky, son statut est passé de mignon à canon sexy et ça n’a  fait que s’amplifier de saison en saison.

 

La première fois que j’ai rencontré Steven, c’était en Juin dernier  à la convention Insurgence 6 au Royaume-Uni. Je le suivais sur Twitter et Instagram depuis un moment et j’aimais beaucoup ce qu’il renvoyait, la manière dont il communiquait. Quand je l’ai finalement rencontré, je  n’imaginais pas possible qu’il soit aussi beau et sympa que la personne qu’il semblait être sur Internet. J’ai été vraiment surprise en bien surtout qu’il a, en fait, dépassé mes espérances.

 

J’avais 2 meetings avec lui et j’ai vu ses 2 Q&A sur scène, il était absolument hilarant ; très accessible et super rapide pour répondre à tous les genres de questions avec des réponses pleines d’esprit. Il m’a dit qu’il aimait mon accent et que je devais continuer à lui parler, ce que j’ai fait. Je l’ai trouvé très charismatique et vraiment très beau, tant au niveau de son apparence que de son authenticité, comme une œuvre d’art. J’aurais pu le regarder la journée toute entière.

 

Après être rentrée de la convention Insurgence 6, j’ai décidé que je devais absolument aller à une autre convention TVD pour le revoir, alors j’ai convaincu mon amie que nous avions besoin de vacances et quand j’ai vu que Steven allait se rendre à Las Vegas, j’ai pensé que ce serait le parfait endroit où aller.

 

Le samedi matin de la convention TDV Vegas, j’étais super excitée de le revoir, sous les yeux amusés de mon amie car je ne suis normalement pas le genre « fan girl » (sauf pour Steven bien-sûr.)  Nous avons commencé par les autographes, j’avais amené mes photos de Insurgence 6 pour les faire signer et il commenta en disant qu’on aurait dû s’embrasser tellement on était proche sur la photo ! J’ai alors répondu que j’avais le photoshoot prévu l’après-midi, qu’on pouvait donc le faire.  Une fois le temps de la séance photo arrivé, je lui ai demandé s’il se souvenait qu’il avait dit qu’il m’embrasserait et il l’a fait !

 

Je décidais de poser des questions durant le Q&A. Je lui dis que j’étais venir spécialement d’Irlande pour le voir ; il m’a alors rejointe, prise dans les bras et m’a emmenée sur scène. Je lui ai demandé s’il allait venir à des conventions européennes ou anglaises l’année suivante, je crois qu’il a répondu oui. Il m’a dit également qu’il viendrait en Ireland s’il avait un endroit où rester, je lui ai répondu qu’il était toujours le bienvenu chez moi.

 

Pendant ce Q&A, il y avait aussi une autre fan sur scène, Steven était charmant et marrant et il flirtait avec tout le monde pendant le panel ; une fois encore il raconta pleins d’histoires intéressantes. Sur la page Facebook de TVD Vegas, les organiseurs ont demandé aux gens si, après cette convention, ils avaient changé de chouchous et de nombreuses personnes ont répondu que oui, pour Steven.

Après l’avoir rencontré une seconde fois, je peux dire que je l’aime encore plus maintenant, sachant qu’il est un garçon sincèrement gentil et marrant qui apprécie l’interaction avec ses fans. J’espère vraiment qu’il viendra au Royaume-Uni l’an prochain tant j’imagine qu’une convention TVD sans lui ne pourrait définitivement pas être la même.
